About

Every big idea begins with a small spark. For me, that spark came in a school classroom.

At Little Yoga Project (LYP), we believe wholeheartedly in nurturing the future—our young ones.

After more than a decade of working in education across Australia, I witnessed firsthand the incredible pressures young people face. I saw bright, curious kids weighed down by anxiety, self-doubt, and the demands of growing up in today’s fast-paced world. It became clear to me: while we teach children how to read, write, and calculate, we don’t always give them the tools they need to care for their minds.

That realisation became the seed of the Little Yoga Project.

And that started a vision—to create a safe, playful, and nurturing space for children to explore yoga and mindfulness

Why We Exist

At LYP, we believe that well-being is just as important as academics. We’re here to reimagine how children engage with yoga and mindfulness: not as something serious or out of reach, but as an experience that is fun, creative, and made just for them.

Our specially designed yoga mats are more than just mats. They’re stepping stones for kids to build:

  • Confidence in themselves
  • Focus on supporting their learning
  • Inner calm in a busy world

Whether in schools, yoga studios, or family homes, these mats create a space where young people can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.

Our Journey Together

Today, LYP is proud to be part of a growing movement to support children’s mental health in a hands-on, heart-first way. Each mat carries with it the belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive—not just survive—their formative years.

We’re working with parents, yogi teachers, studios and schools, to help create spaces that support our young ones.

Join Us

We invite you to be part of this journey—whether you’re a parent, a teacher, or someone who simply believes in the power of supporting young minds. Together, let’s empower the next generation to move, breathe, and shine with confidence.
